  • We also fill our second floor with resale clothing and our garage with garden items and decor.

The following are the details as described in our contracts for our vendors, either as renters or consignors.  Please review, and sorry for the impersonal language, our attorney is trying to make sure that everything is correct!
 
Booth Rental
Lease agreement 

Sanctuary Of Stuff (SOS) Business hours are Monday, through Saturday 11am to 6pm (subject to seasonal change).  All items placed for sale in SOS must be delivered during business hours.  SOS’s customers always come first, so be prepared to stand aside while we assist your customers.

Vendor’s inventory shall remain subject to SOS jury standards. SOS reserves the right to request removal of substandard items, and to terminate lease if standards are not met.

Renters are encouraged to be creative in arranging their space. SOS reserves the right to request a change in the booth layout for safety, accessibility or aesthetic purposes. There will be a $50.00 charge if there is excessive damage to the walls when you leave.

SOS reserves the right to use images of your products for advertising purposes.         

SOS will treat your inventory with respect and TLC.  We will not be responsible for breakage, theft or damage due to fire, water,  natural disaster or customer accidents.  You, the Vendor, will be responsible for insuring your products.

All items must have an approved tag that will designate the renter’s number, item number or description of the item, and its sale price.   These tags must be removable and will be retained by SOS to verify sales. Please provide business cards to accompany your product’s sales.

Inventory records are to be maintained by the renter.  A copy may be kept on file by SOS to insure that the correct price will be charged in case of a lost tag.

SOS offers Lay Away to its customers.  The customer has 60 days to payoff the layaway.  If  not paid off in this time the deposit will be split between SOS and the Vendor.  The vendor will not receive payment on the layaway item until it is completely paid off by the customer.

All items sold are subject to a 20% Management fee unless other arrangements are written in contract.

SOS will provide a monthly listing of all items sold.  Your sales check will be available at SOS beginning on the 10 through the end of month depending on your vendor number of the following month.   To have your check mailed a stamped self addressed envelopes must be provided. Checks will be null and void after 90 days.  Balances of less than $25.00 will be carried over to the next month.

All leases are to be for an introductory term of 3 months, renewable for up to 12 months, at the discretion of the board of directors of SOSRent is due by the first of the month.  If the rent is not paid by the 6 it will be deducted from the previous month’s sales proceeds.  A $25.00 late fee will be charged on rent received after the 10th.  Any rent not received by the last day of the month will result in termination of the lease agreement.  At termination a deduction of the rent, advertising fees, late fees and damage fee due will be made from the monthly sales proceeds and any items left in the booth will become the property of SOS.
 

                                       
Consignment

Consignees will provide a detailed list of inventory.  A limited number of items will be placed in inventory at SOS, at the discretion of the SOS board of directors.  The inventory will be provided on the attached inventory form.  Each item must be tagged by the consignee with the following details:  Consignee’s number (as assigned by SOS), Item Number or Description of Item, Date placed at SOS, and Sales Price as set by the consignee.  These tags must be removable and will be retained by SOS to verify sales.  Vendor Business cards should be available to accompany original art work sales.       All items sold will be subject to a 52% fee, 48% of the sales price will be paid to the consignee. 

SOS will provide a monthly listing of all items sold.  Your sales check will be available at SOS on the 30th of the following month. To have your check mailed you must provide stamped self addressed envelopes.  Checks will be null and void after 90 days. Balances of less than $25.00 will be carried over to the next month.

Consignment items must be left for 60 days.  The Vendor has the option to pick up or reduce the price of these items after the initial 60 days.  Any items not picked up after 90 days will become the property of SOS, unless another consignment agreement has been signed.  Any exceptions to this policy will be made in writing. 

Occasionally we are asked if the prices are firm.  Are you willing to offer a discount to those who ask?  _____Yes   ____No.  If so what discount may be offered? _________%  It is agreed that I am providing the items listed on the attached inventory form for sale.  This agreement is for 60 days and subject to the above policies.
